We invite you to submit presentation & workshop proposals for NCAEA’s 2014 Professional Development Conference (PDC).
NCAEA/NAEA members are encouraged to share best practices, creative lesson plans and innovative workshops with fellow art educators. We are seeking a variety of proposals, such as; art lessons, new ideas, latest technology, new community projects, assessment tools, student teacher hints, new teacher help, behavioral management, advocacy, etc. Please consider sharing your knowledge with your statewide art education colleagues. (NCAEA will provide .5 CEU for each presenter.)
The NCAEA provides the professional development conference for members by members. All presenters must be or become current members of NCAEA/NAEA. If your proposal is accepted, you are required to register and pay for the conference.

October 23 – 26, 2014 (PDC)
The 2014 conference destination is New Bern! Our conference facilities are the New Bern Convention Center & the and the newly renovated Doubletree Hotel by Hilton – Riverfront. We are located at the heart of the Downtown Historic District, alongside premier shops, restaurants and local landmarks, also conveniently located near Tryon Palace. Once again, we’ll enjoy views of the breathtaking waterfront veranda.
Registration check-in will begin the evening of Thursday, Oct 23rd. Join us for the President’s Reception and the Exhibitor Meet & Greet. You can expect days filled with opportunities to participate in workshops, listen to speakers and presentations, network with your fellow art educators and, visit the exhibit hall. There will be a variety of creative content to meet your professional needs. CEU credits are available for attending workshops, presentations and, required meetings.
Initiate your LEA funding request now & start planning your annual professional development trip! Don’t forget to communicate with local art educators and encourage them to attend with you- car pooling is great for your budget.

The PDC conference logo design contest has been extended until March 1st , 2014.

Stay informed with our e-newsletter and email messaging by being sure you have signed up for our constant contact service. Sign up on our webpage… and also correct old obsolete emails from that same link. Please provide a “home” email address since we get many returned from school system servers thinking it is spam mail instead of your membership newsletter. An e-newsletter keeps you informed on all the state and national happenings.
Become part of our NCAEA board. We are always looking for volunteers to serve on committees.
